We are either the biggest dorks ever or the coolest mom and aunt in the whole wide world................Yeah I think that it's the biggest dork! =)

And yes..........That is what you think it is on our heads. LOL! OMG I can't believe that I'm posting these pictures! I have no clue how I got Britt to snap the shots of our silly selves!

Halloween Costumes

These are our Halloween costumes. I can't tell you the last time that Britt and I have dressed up for Halloween, but we are going to a crew Halloween party this year so I thought that it would be fun to dress up this year. It's a good thing that we haven't dressed up in a very long time because costumes are EXPENSIVE!!!!! WOWWEEEE!!! I thought that it would be cute if I went as the cop and Britt went as the inmate. Giggle ;) Ashlyn is going to be Tinkerbell a lovely FREE hand me down costume. Notice the emphasis on FREE. And Brennan is going to be my little stinker. I got his costume for a steal as well. I got it at Christmas last year for $1.99 at the Gaffney Children's Place outlets. I'll be sure to post as many pics as possible.

Picture Day

Chaps Velour Ruffle Dress

Chaps Plaid Shirt & Pants Set

A & B are having picture day at school today. I found these cute matching Chaps outfits at Kohls. Are they not adorable? Brennan looked like a little man all dressed up in his plaid shirt and khaki pants, and Ashlyn looked like a little runway model as always. I can't wait to see the how the pictures turned out. I'll be sure to post them once I get them.

HELLO...................First off why does my 4 year old even care what her panties look like, and second where has she even heard this term used before? Oh dear oh dear! She went through 4 pair of panties tonight before she could find the right pair to wear. I'm telling y'all I'm in BIG trouble with this one! MARK MY WORDS!

Happy Half a Year Birthday Little Buddy!

WOW! I can't believe that 6 months ago today, right about this time I was in a hospital room putting on my gown, and awaiting your arrival. You made my 29th birthday the best birthday of my life! You are such a sweet sweet baby boy! I love watching your personality grow more and more each day! You will always be mama's baby boy, even when you're 25 years old. You better never forget that! =) I love you chunky monkey! xoxo

Brennan's Baptism

I don't know why they came out so fuzzy, but they are the only ones that I have right now. I know that my dad took some too, so when I get some from his I'll post more later. Also, my battery died right around the time of the actual baptism, so that's the reason for none of those pictures. Brennan did GREAT! No crying, no spitting up all over the preacher. WHEW! Isn't he just the cutest thing in that hat? Britt thought that it was the cheesiest thing EVER, but it came with the outfit so he had to wear it, even if it was just for 2 minutes of photo snapping. Too stinkin' cute! I love the picture of Ashlyn and Brennan sitting in the chair together. I'm starting to see so much of Ashlyn in Brennan the older that he gets. I hope that he gets that curly hair.

True Love

Let me tell you what true love is. Britt and I just celebrated our big 3 year anniversary on Wednesday. I can't believe that it's only been 3 years. It seems like we've been married at least 30. LOL! Anyways, back to what true love is. Y'all know how much I HATE feet! Especially the nasty feet of a man who has an ingrown toenail and has all kinds of foot problems that I won't even go into. YUCK! Ha! =) Well the other night he got a teeny tiny splinter stuck in the bottom of his foot and he wanted mua to get it out. Shhhaaaaaa......................did he know who he was asking to do such a thing?!?!?!?! I mean hello, It's me here who has a huge foot phobia! But guess what I got out the sewing kit, the peroxide, and the tweezers and started the dreaded surgery anyway because that's what true love is all about. When your husband has a splinter, by george, you've got to get it out! ;) I must admit that he was a good patient. He didn't whine and jump too much. I finally got the darn thing out after about 30 minutes of picking and plucking. My question is how can something so tiny cause so much pain? Crazy! So Happy Anniversary Babe! You know I really must love you when I have my hands all over your feet for nearly half an hour. My friends...........That's what you call TRUE LOVE!

The Zoo

Since it was such a beautiful day on Friday my parents decided to take Ashlyn to the zoo. I couldn't ask for better parents and Ashlyn and Brennan definitely couldn't have picked any better grandparents than the ones that they have! Thanks Nana and Pappaw for taking her! She's still talking about all of the fun that she had.
I wanted to make a few comments about the pictures below.
Monkeys........I just love them. I love their human-like mannerisms. I mean look at this first one. He looks like he's had a REALLY rough day. Maybe like he just caught his wife (below) picking bugs off of another man. Ha!
The Polar Bear. His name is Willie. Really it is. He is smiling for the camera in the first picture. How cute is that. It makes me think of the movie Madagascar. The second picture he's thinking.......Enough of this crap. I'm done for the day!
Out of all of the animals I think that I'd be the monkey cleaning the other monkey. LOL! Britt would HAVE to be the gorilla. That totally fits his stubborn, I run this house, personality. Ashlyn is sooooo the turtle! She is the slowest human being on the face of the planet. I am always late, and 99% of the time it it because of her. And Brennan would have to be the owl. Watching everything with his big eyes, taking in every little thing that his brain can possibly hold.
These last pictures of Ashlyn I absolutely LOVE! You can tell by these pictures what a wonderful time she had!

My Prince and Princess

Oh, and another thing

If anyone knows of an older person who'd like to have a companion I've got the perfect one for them.........RUDY. He really is a good dog, but first of all with 2 kids he just doesn't get the attention that he needs in our home. Also with Brennan having the problems that he is I think that it's probably best that we get rid of our inside dog. Rudy would make the perfect dog for an older man or woman who could show him the undivided attention that he needs. When he gets attention he's an angel, but when he's ignored he does things for spite and it makes me crazy with madness. So, if you know of anyone that can give him a good loving home please let me know. He's the dog in the picture below with Ashlyn noted as the Alien dog because of his glowing eyes in the picture.
Thanks!

FINALLY..........

After three long months of my poor son coughing day in and day out. He coughs until he's red in the face. His chest rattles 24 hours a day. When you hold him he sounds like a kitten purring. That's how bad the congestion is and it's been going on now for 3 straight months. He is a happy boy, so I can't imagine what he'd be like if he didn't have to deal with this coughing junk every single day. He'd probably be the happiest baby in the world!
After numerous trips to the doctor and prescription cough medicines and antibiotics. The doctor is FINALLY referring him to a specialist.
I called the doctor's office on Monday and spoke to the the director of my wedding who also happens to work at B's doctor's office. I asked her which doctor would be most likely to actually do something about this nasty cough and whoever that was I wanted an appointment with them. She booked me with the doctor whom she felt like would get to the bottom of his problem, and I took him yesterday afternoon for his appointment. The doctor listened to his lungs and said that his airways didn't sound constricted, but there is definitely a problem if this has been going on for 3 months with no improvements even after the antibiotics that he was on last month. She feels like it may be asthma or it could be that he has enlarged adnoids (sp?) that could be the cause of his congestion. He has an appointment with Allergy and Asthma Specialists tomorrow morning. Hopefully we'll finally get to the bottom of this and get the little guy some relief.
Just a littly FYI - He weighed 16lbs 12oz today!! He's a load to carry around. I want to get a new light weight stroller to tote around, but I'd like something a little sturdier than an umbrella stroller since he's still sitting up completely on his own yet. Any ideas?

Ashlyn and Alien Dog
