Any Motherly Advise?!?!?!?

OK, so Ashlyn had been doing better with the temper tantrums, but the past week has been H E double hockey sticks! Oh my goodness! I know that her pictures look adorable, but don't let that little face fool you! My does she have a temper on her. And stubborn as they come. When she starts these temper tantrums there is nothing that anyone can do to stop them. She screams as loud as possible, kicks, hits, cries; You name it, she does it! And it goes on for about 30 minutes until she wears herself out. It's awful! What do I do to stop these terrible fits? It's really kind of comical. She almost looks like the girl off of the excorcist, not really, but that's how she acts. I told Britt that when her head starts spinning I'm really going to be worried. =) Well, hopefully it's just her age! Let me tell you the whole terrible two thing is definitely true for me!

CRACKIN UP! Sorry. Had to laugh. Totally can relate! It's her age! On a brighter note...4 is great! HA! No really...
My advice...
Be consistent. Whatever works...just do it, but always do whatever works the same way. I have the crabby corner. At that age Mason would sit ...Coop wouldn't. I had an extra car seat so in the corner car seat for 2 minutes. He hated it. About 2 weeks of that and he KNEW! I also would and still do this with Coop. When things start going down hill I take both of Sawyers hands, make them close into a fist and hold them til I count to 20. I count loud but calm. HE hates this but Dr. Phil said it takes away his CONTROL! LOL! And..who am I to argue with Phil! :] HA! In truth...she is testing her personality! ANd...well...looks like you got a little fire ball! HAHA!
When all else fails...I turn to Wine as well.. I figure if they are going to whine all day...a girl should have hers too! Love ya. Once again...4 is GREAT! HAHA!

I know Grayson isn't old enough for tantrums yet but I used to take care of Tracy's little girl Kelyn and she knew how to pitch a heck of a fit. I only know that you have to stick to your guns. Make sure you never give in or she will know that she can scream and scream and eventually you're going to cave. Other than that, don't worry so much. She'll grow out of it,right now she has just learned that she can vocalize her wants. It's actually a pretty great milestone if you think about it! She's becoming her very own person with her own likes!
