My Princess Tomgirl!

Just look at these images. Isn't she just the most beautiful princess of them all? I'm not a bit biased! =) Well surprisningly enough, my pretty pink princess also has a bit of tomboy in her.

Quick story. Yesterday afternoon while picking up A & B up from pre-school we went in Ashlyn's room to get her jacket and she started digging in her pocket, trying to make sure that something was still there. I asked her what she was looking for and she quickly replied back with - "nothing, nothing mommy, nothing." I asked her again and told her that I wasn't going to be mad about whatever it was that was inside of there, I just wanted an honest answer from her. She then softly and babyishly said "a worm". A WORM?!?!? I snatched her jacket out of her hands to see if it was actually a real worm or just a piece of string, and low and behold it was a real live worm in there! My fru fru princess dress wearin', outfits have to be picked out each night, jewelry lovin', born to shop girl found a worm out on the playground and decided that she was going to keep it as her pet! No no no.............No worms in MY house! I told her that she had to put it back out or it would die, but she pitched one royal fit outside of her daycare pleading with me to let her keep Wormy, she had already given her a name. Everything is a girl these days. I told her that we could take it home AS LONG AS she put it out in the yard at our house once we got out of the car. She agreed, but pouted the whole way home. She put wormy in the grass and then noticed that it wasn't moving. Wormy was dead. I'm sure he had probably dried out from being in her coat pocket all afternoon. I have a feeling that I'm going to be the parent of the child who brings hoppy toads, bugs, and well really any sort of creature home with her. Be careful the next time you come over. You never know what might be in our house! =)
