I had to blog about something that happened last night that really made me sit back and realize how great I have it! How great my life is! How great my husband is! Let me start by saying that my husband can annoy me to no end, but he truly is a great man!!
A few years back I dated a baseball player. He was in the minor leagues at the time, but had just signed a contract to play with the Phillies. I will not mention his name, but if you've heard the sports news lately I'm sure that you've heard his name mentioned. He is a starting pitcher and every time that we turn on a Phillies game Britt has something to say about the guy. Now, I would never in a hundred years give up my relationship to Britt for him. But it made me think, how many women dream of being with a major sports star, or some famous actor or singer because they have so much money and they would live the life of luxury. Well ladies, you may want to rethink those dreams. Yeah, you may have millions of dollars, but money definitely does not buy happiness. This "baseball guy" was arrested last week for domestic violence. He punched his wife in her face out in public. Can you believe that? And to think that I dated this dirtbag.
Back a few years ago I thought about how great it would be to be married to someone rich and famous. No No No! I would not trade my husband for the world. All of these hollywood stars look so happy on the outside, but I would love to be a fly on the wall inside of some of their homes. We all have our problems, but nothing comes close to domestic violence. I LOVE YOU BRITT!! Thanks for putting up with my chaoctic life of cleaning, and not punching me. JUST KIDDING! =) Things like that just make you realize how great you really have it!

I'm glad you realize how great you have it!! I am very glad you didn't end up with a jerk!!
My favorite quote in the entire world says " If I could wish your life to be pefect, it would be tempting, yet I would have to decline life would not longer teach you anything"
Lesson goes without saying. The lesson of life is that it will never be perfect. Sometimes we just need a friendly reminder, a few good prayers from some people who love us and a way of looking at life again. Just looking at it from the outside standing in.
I always say that I wouldn't trade shoes with anyone, but somedays I think I would make someone a very lucky girl and allow her to walk a mile in mine! Sometimes I put those shoes on and they kill my feet. Somedays I put them on and they just aren't the shoes I want to wear but then somedays, most days, I put those shoes on and think now these are the shoes I need to be in today!! I think you are one lucky girl Mindy! I think you have been just trying to put those shoes on the wrong feet! You seem to have it worked out right now! Dance in those shoes chicky! You deserve the world!!
